Rickenbacker manufactured the 850 Combo between 1957 and 1960. It was a solid bodied electric guitar The first models in 1957 had a double coiled horse shoe magnet pickup at the bridge plus a chrome bar pickup at the neck. It has an offset double sharp cutaway maple body, carved top, pickguard, maple neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlay, fixed bridge, volume/tone controls, and two switches.
